PROSPECTIVE GRADUATE STUDENTS

I will be accepting a graduate student to the clinical psychology program at the University of Windsor.

Interested applicants should apply to the neuropsychology track of the clinical program. Proficiency in French or another language would be considered an asset, and a background in cognitive aging or cognitive neuroscience research (i.e., EEG, tDCS) would also be considered assets, though neither are requirements for admission.

As the lab is very active in research, applicants should have a strong foundation in experimental psychology and value engaging in research as an integral part of their clinical training.

Please note that applicants should be genuinely interested in the research topics of the lab, as all thesis projects will fall broadly within these themes. While there is some flexibility in research projects, and I encourage trainees to pursue their own academic interests, practically speaking it is very difficult for a student to properly develop an entirely new line of research for their thesis, given the significant demands of clinical psychology training (i.e., coursework, clinical practica, supervision).

Please do not hesitate to contact me (kromero@uwindsor.ca) if you are interested in joining the lab or want to learn more.
